The Race is On: 1 day and counting
Hey folks--
I'll be out cooking in the snow today with my buddy, Big Lou Elrose. We're only cooking a few chickens, so it shouldn't be too rough. We're whisking those birds into the city for a dunk in sauce and a turn on the grill for a tasting for Wildwood BBQ, the new B.R. Guest Restaurant we're opening on March 3, 2008. I gotta go and throw the sauce into a quart container.
I leave you with the masterful, George Jones in a prime performance of his great hit tune, The Race is On. Enjoy!

Bummer, video is no longer available. No biggie, I'll look it up on uboob anyway. This is one of my all time fav. Geo. Jones tunes. I was first introduced to it by the good old Grateful Dead (as I was introduced to many trad. country/bluegrass/folk songs...Thanks Uncle J and boys!). There is a killer acoustic version of this tune on "Reckoning" an album which is overdue for the remaster for the 30th anniversary treatment. It would be nice to be able to get the whole thing on CD again with some added bonus (video anyone?) to round out the package. Let's see it whomever is in charge of the vaults these days!
Anyway, I digress. Matteo, I would like the VIP tour of the new digs when I am in town in Jan. If that is at all within your powers. And Big Lou really seems like a man I've got to meat - er, - meet. I'm counting the days to your BBQ and real NYC Dim Sum. Can't wait!
Peace,
T. Primo
