glad to see you're still blogging it up, bc! sorry our paths never crossed on the east coast. where on earth does one get good bbq in los angeles? (even though i've gone veggie the bf still is an uber-carnivore;) hope all's well!
I don't know about LA, but a few hrs north in the Central Coast, in San Luis Obispo is the BEST tri-tip and bbq meats you'll find ever. Their tri-tip sandwich is a must try, the best I've tasted anywhere. The place is called Firestone Grill. Look them up on yelp.
