Hello Stranger

East Lake in Flushing again. Went with the family- Mom's out of the hospital after two months.

Unintentional suspense...I'm adapting to doing most of my blogging from my mac at home and it has different capabilities-- haven't figured out captions.

So...The top pic is an amazing Chow Fun (they called it Hong Kong Noodles) with rolled rice noodles, crisp sprouts and scallions, some egg and a scant hint of sesame oil. Not at all greasy.

The next is a deep fried shrimp wrapped in bacon. What more can one say other than shrimp, bacon, deep fry?

The last is a baked pork bun w/ barbecued pork inside and a sweet glaze on the outside. The dough was light and pliable and seemed to melt under the tongue. Yummmers.

Mmmm, sounds awesome. Oh what fun is chow fun. And would never have guessed there was some pork inside that bun!
